The Platypus is Rivendell's gorgeous, zippy, long wheelbase, mixte style step-through. It is ideal for cruising around town, hitting the grocery store, or spending a long day in the saddle on some paved and less-than-paved surfaces.
Its got all of the rack mounts, pump pegs, and room for fenders anyone could ever need.
All detail shots are of an older Limeish color that was not done in this run. We are too small a company and aren't able to order enough frames to justify reshooting the frame in the Mermaid color pictured as a complete build.
Build Notes:
Each frame comes with a headset (No spacers) and square taper bottom bracket pre-installed and a seat post.
The 50cm Platypus takes a 650b/27.5 wheel set.
The 55 and 60cm Platypus takes a 700c/29" wheel set.
Max tire clearance is 2.2" no matter the wheel size.
Best built with V-Brakes, but cantis will work just fine.
This bike is designed to be set up with an upright riding position and a swept back bar.
PBH's are lightly flexible because of the step-through
